Track Name: Coyote
Where do you wander when
all the birds have flown?
The mountain's overgrowing the valley.
And don't you wonder when
all the birds have flown
the holy mountain home overlooking the sea.

I will be your whole life.
Convince yourself
of your whole life.
Track Name: Plateau
Lately I feel tongue-tied.
Pig in a wheel.
Get down your knees.
Brace tight.
Take what you need.

You touch. I steal.
Reach for a prisoner meal.
Turn up your hands.
Think twice.
Take what you can.

It doesn't matter if I don't see this through
Crawl into a corner and pay my dues.
'Cause living in the cut-throat dark, it's never gonna stop

Your touch, I feel. Tongue-tied.
Pig in a wheel.
Get down to your knees.
Ask nice. You are what you plead.

It doesn't matter if I don't see this through
Crawl into a corner and pay my dues.
'Cause living in the cut-throat dark, it's never gonna stop.

Lately I feel
tongue-tied.
Pig in a wheel.
Track Name: Sonnet
(lyrics by Trudie Kaiser)

to make me cut my teeth against the ground
or wounds that wept so intimate and fresh
a moment’s pause to find the cradle sound
and frus'trate bitter empathy of flesh
a crusted moth by force adhered to glass
to fin’lly view the earth from far away

I’d rather shove a rosebush up my ass
than find myself and life confined to stay
but in a dream I saw the world spread flat
so sudden and so slight seen from the roof
then pricked my thumb & on the rougher edges sat
and dreamt of waking ignorant to truth

when in the duller lights, unconscious then to theft
I found your grandiosity had left

He's projecting the blame to the wrench.
Track Name: Mudhalla
Well don't you think you need to seek your health?
At least that's what myself tells myself to remember
but only when it's clear I've forgotten.
And memories irresistible to me
keep my mouth cornered, curls head up and plainly.
Burying me by the book and not by the book.

For clarity, take it off my shelf.
Get me some closure, throw it in the well,
for reverence sake, ought I look a little closer?
Upon the leaves, prints of some strange animal's weave.
Let's track them down. Study them quietly while they sleep.

Steady now.
Don't fall back in.
I'm confident.
Just a peak, oh.
It's taking hold.
I told you so
warm outside
I think I'll lose my mind.

And I'm home for the holidays forever.
Sipping tea in Paris with a girl I still adore.
See the madness coming through the amber leaves
to mess me all about.
Wave so long to solid ground.
Thank my family.

Lying face down in the frame of the door.
The sunlight illuminates the dust on the floor
and all the footprints that came before.
And those impressions in the grime
remind me that times gone by
do not drive me any more than
the paw print drives the paw.
Track Name: Rescue Line
Rescue line,
how was I supposed to know?
Wade in the wake or drown,
the deeper that we're pulled.
Rescue line,
a thread through the seams.
Tread in the tide and I
dry in the heat.

Rescue line,
how was I to tell?
I bent back the weight of time
I watched it all dispel.
Rescue line,
while we run away.
We're scared of all of that
catching up some day.
Track Name: Resuscitation
Before you make the call
We should check the pulse,
Just to be sure.
You know I can stomach the smell of rotting,
But I know you’ve got yourself a sensitive nose.

‘Cause all the things you wear are grey
And you wear your hair so nice
That I just have to look away to check the fact
That a circle’s still a circle
Even if it’s wreathed in black?

Color streaming down your white face
The music; you’re as black as I
But you know I can resist the canvas emptiness
And lately I’ve been painting with my right eye closed, because:

All the things you wear are great,
And you wear your hair so nice,
But I just have to look your way and state the facts:

That I’m as white as Sunday,
When your eyes are on my back.
Put us in stitches,
We like to,
And then burn each other black.

But our circle’s still our circle,
And nobody’s is exact.

I hear that heart still beating,
Tendons tight and releasing!
Track Name: Whale Bones
Funny the way that it's so funny
to say that something's funny
when what you mean is nothing.
For keepsake hold my secret.
A thousand little shards of peace kept.
Crippling desire.

Someday on my way home alone,
I'll stay awake for all the frozen miles.
Someday on my way home alone,
I'll stay awake for all the frozen hours.

And would you keep me in a jar?
Would it be funnier from afar?
Happy, money, laundry, lately.
Patient, penitent or zealously
exercising jealousy.
Oh hush now and look alive.

Someday on my way home alone,
I'll stay awake for all the frozen miles.
Someday on my way home alone,
I'll stay awake for all the frozen hours.

This beast of mighty vertebrae
swallowed every day
will push against the surface 'til
the animal's alive.
Funny, happy, sleepy, money.
Funny, happy, dirty, lately.
